For several years, the AKGA has used Associated Registries (which is run by the American Hampshire Sheep Association) to provide our membership services. Jeff Ebert has done a wonderful job for the Associated Registry office for the past 10 years. Jeff has decided it’s time to change pastures and to slow the pace of his busy life. This will allow him to enjoy his sheep farm and family a little more. He will continue until January 31, 2025, to help with the transition.
The new team has over 80 years of combined experience in the registered livestock industry. The role of AHSA Executive Secretary will be assumed by Tor Sorensen. The Manager of the Associated Registry Hampshire Sheep Association office will be Sue Traglia. They are working with the current Registry office to learn the many tasks of the organization. The projected timeline on the movement and transition of the office will be quick and they plan to open Monday, December 9, 2024, in the new offices. Mail will be forwarded to the new Sedalia office from Wamego, but save time and send directly to the new address. The AKGA is updating forms on our website, but old forms can be used and sent to the new address.
