New Policy on Previously Assigned but Unused Herd Prefixes

The AKGA Board of Directors recently voted unanimously to put in place a new guideline for handling assigned herd prefixes that have never been utilized. This guideline is as follows:

“If an AKGA member is in arrears for three or more concurrent years and the herd prefix assigned to them has never been assigned to a registered goat by the said member, the herd prefix assigned to that membership will be removed and become available for use by new members.”

This will free up desired herd prefixes that have been assigned but never used, so that they are available for new members.
